Initial Ideas For My Magazine

       Initially I was attracted to making a pop music magazine. Doing some research I found there are not many pop magazines available in the market and those that are available are very similar. I have decided to do a pop magazine but make a magazine that would attract a slightly older audience as the current magazines appeal to 8-12 year old females. I intend to create a magazine that attracts a slightly older female audience, from the ages of 14-17 or even 18 as this demographic are vast consumers of pop culture but do not have a magazine targeted at them that they could by. I intend to use this gap in the market to launch a more mature pop magazine that will be bought by the age demographic specified. Though I intend to use the same colour schemes as the currently popular pop magazines as this makes a magazine instantly recogniseable as pop.
